  1. Alfredo aka Grandpa at Thornton Elementary School was beloved by so many. He and I worked together the last few years before we retired and he was so generous, giving, and always sharing food and a daily joke or two. Also, I fondly recall his stories of his preThornton life. You will be missed. RIP Grandpa!

  2. Grandpa was the kindest, most gentle-man I believe I’ve ever known. He worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at Thornton Elementary during my years as Principal at the school.

Grandpa was far more than a TA. He was a friend to students and teachers alike, a helper in any and all situations, a counsellor to students (always in a loving and caring way), and a fine man.

I feel privileged to have known him and fortunate to have spent many years working together. I’m certain I speak for the entire elementary school when I say thank- you for being there for all of us. You will be missed. God bless you and your entire family.

  3. Grandpa will be greatly missed. All his years at Thornton he was a very kind hearted and giving person. He was a wonderful mentor to our students. The students could feel the love he had for them, always patient and guiding them to make better choices. It was always a joy having lunch with him and hearing his funny jokes. He was also always so proud for being recognized for his Perfect Attendance awards. Love you grandpa, I’ll miss you!!

  4. Grandpa was one in a million. From filling in a surrogate grandpa for my kids to just being at peace knowing he was watching over my kids. He was always happy and smiling and my kids and I truly loved him.
You will be greatly missed by all. Rest In Peace Grandpa!!
    Love, The Robinson Family
