Nolo, mi muy querido Amigo;
We met in 1967. I was 14 and you around 16. This makes 56 year friendship. We met in Katherine Tarver Alternative School in Laredo, TX for all the kids that were coming in from Mexico and did not know how to speak English. We had many, many good times during our teenage years. Today I carry such a heavy heart when I heard of your departure on a voyage with no return. As you know,
life got on the way for the last 30 or so years and we did not keep in touch until today. You and Celia have an incredible family. That is an incredible accomplishment. I met many of them at your wake. They all seem very happy when they are together; so you need not to worry about them. You have done a good job. I also was extremely pleased to see the legacy you left behind. The Ramirez Racing Team is the culmination of the days when we used to go to “El Espejo Ranch” to race your 1956 Chevy for the first time. You really outdid your self. You came a long way. Well, my friend, I leave you now hoping the Lord blesses us with his grace and allows us to race the 1956 Chevy again in Heaven and maybe this time the gears will not get stuck.
I wish you eternal rest with all my heart. May God almighty keep you in heaven, but just in case you need a little push, I will you keep you in my prayers. So long my true friend until me meet again.
Your Friend for life Arturo Espinoza
