Service Details

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, Texas 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral and Crematorium to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo City Cemetery.

As per family request we ask everyone attending funeral services to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Obituary

Bernarda Ortega passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at the age of 82 in Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, Francisco Ortega Sr.; father, Jose Ramirez Rocha; and her brother Emilio Ramirez.

Mrs. Ortega is survived by her children, Rosalinda O. (†Jose Guadalupe) Garcia, Consuelo (Miguel) Reynero, Barbara O. (Guadalupe) Mendiola, Francisco Ortega, Jr., Leticia O. (†Pablo) Garcia, Fernando Ortega, Edna Olmeda, and Juan Felipe Ortega; mother, Petra Salazar Ramirez, brothers and sisters Dominga Ramirez, Anastacio Ramirez, Maria del Carmen Ramirez, Herminia Ramirez, Avelina Ugarte, Jose Luis Ramirez, Jose Angel Ramirez, Casimiro Ramirez, Francisco Javier Ramirez, Rosa Icela Avila, Rosa Martha Medellin, Geronimo Ramirez, Adela Ramirez, Wenseslao Ramirez, Jose Gabriel Ramirez and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Jose Guadalupe Garcia Jr., Pablo Emanuel Garcia, Alexzander Ortega, Daniel Ortega, Guadalupe Mendiola Jr., Sergio Alonzo Flores, Miguel Angel Reynero.
