Visitation will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 12:15 p.m.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
In accordance with CDC safety precautions, we ask everyone attending funeral services to wear a mask and practice social distancing. There will be limited seating for services. For everyone’s safety please honor the family from a distance. We kindly thank you in advance.
Carmen Adelnery Riojas, 40, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Riojas is survived by her husband Arturo Cisneros, daughter Alejandra Cisneros, parents Jorge and Maria del Carmen Riojas and her brother Jorge, Jr. (Aida) Riojas. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Ms. Riojas was one the most awesome employees to work at United South Middle School. She was a super positive person and she will be greatly missed. She impacted many students and co workers at United South Middle School.

Cada vez que nos saludamos en la escuela, ella tenía una gran sonrisa en su rostro que me hacía sonreír sin importar qué tipo de día estaba teniendo. La voy a extrañar mucho. Ella fue una luz guía para todos nosotros en la escuela de USMS. Que en paz descanse.

In the 1980s, when I was around your age, my father (Raul Mendoza)reconnected with his first cousin, your great-grandmother Plácida after many, many years of having lost contact. Since I was baby, we’d go to Lampazos every year and stayed with my mom’s Zamora side of the family. You can’t begin to imagine my dad’s excitement when he learned that his people lived right around the corner from the Zamora’s. I will never forget the day my dad and Tía Plácida reunited. They were overcome with so much joy! From then on, my parents would visit every chance they got. Your grandmother and my mom grew very close. A couple of years ago, I ended up searching for your mom on Facebook so that we could continue the ties that span generations.
I am so sorry for your loss, mija. Although you may not know me personally, please know that you have familia here that love you and feel the pain of losing our beautiful Adelnery. Prayers and condolences to you, sweet girl.
