Cesar “Chaparro” Carrera passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his side on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the age of 57 in San Antonio, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his wife Angelita G. Carrera, and his father Severiano Olivares.
Cesar is survived by his children Julia Carrera, Lizzette Carrera (Carlos Cruz), and Cesar Carrera, Jr. (Clarissa Cantu), grandchildren Haley Carrera, Alessandra Carrera, Candace Cruz, Carlos Cruz, Angelina Carrera, Angel Acosta, Cesar Carrera III, and Everleigh Carrera, and his mother, Julia Olivares. He is also survived by his brothers Luis (Sandra) Carrera, Antonio (Cecilia) Carrera, Gilbert Olivares, Rafael Olivares, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, Texas 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
A chapel service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, Texas 78041.
Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
