Darlene Michelle Flores passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family at her side on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the age of 24 at the University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Darlene was born and raised in Laredo, Texas where she graduated from Dr. Leo Cigarroa High School in 2016 and later, attended Laredo Community College where she wanted to pursue a degree in Law Enforcement. She lived her last years in Friona, Texas and her last days in San Antonio, Texas at University Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her maternal uncle, Allan “Bo” Garcia; great grandmother, Alicia O. Garcia; great uncle, Oscar D. Garcia, Jr., and great aunt, Gilda Y. Garcia.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Reynaldo Martinez, Jr.; daughter, Haylie Faith Martinez; mother, Marcie Joann Brashears Garcia; sisters, “Nana” Marcie Jo Olmos (Jesus), Katherine Marie Flores, Marlene Joann Flores (James Casarez, Jr.); brother, “Johnny” Juan Felipe Flores, Jr. (Jennifer Zepeda), Allan Dave Flores; nephews, Marlowe James Casarez, Juan Felipe Flores III, and Jose Antonio Flores. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Dolores M. Garcia, maternal grandfather Dennis D. Garcia, grandma Anna M. Munoz, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and numerous other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Reynaldo Martinez, Jr., Jesus S. Olmos, Juan F. “Johnny” Flores Jr., Allan D. Flores, Frankie Hinojosa, Jr., Francisco J. “Frank” Hinojosa, Jose L. “Joey” Santos, Jr., and Ramiro Palacios Varela.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Dave Garcia, Jose Luis “Cano” Santos, and Jesus “Chuy” Garza.
Special Honorary Pallbearers will be Marcie Jo Olmos, Jacqueline Yvette Santos, Denise Dale “Dee Dee” Garcia, Maria Esther Abrego, and Guadalupe Abrego.
