Visitation will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A vigil for the deceased will be held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to Holy Family Church for a Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Obituary
Mrs. Elida Cortinas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her side on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the age of 82 in Laredo, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Maximino and Carolina Sanchez.
Mrs. Cortinas is survived by her loving husband Juan F. Cortinas Jr., children Juan F. (Cynthia Selina) Cortinas III, and Elida C. (Michael) Flores. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alejandro I. Flores, Andrea C. Flores, Gabriella I. Cortinas, Xiomara I. Cortinas, brothers and sisters Eduardo (Miriam) Sanchez, Maximino Sanchez, Santos Sanchez, Enedelia (Ernesto) Martinez, Elsa Garza and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
