My grandmother Ana was Tita’s sister and she died when I was very young, but as an adult I enjoyed hearing Tita share stories about her sister. I will always treasure the moments I got to spend with Tita in my early months living in San Antonio. I know her arrival in heaven was nothing short of a joyous reunion.
On behalf of my parents Alfredo, Irma, and my wife Jackie. We express our heartfelt sincere condolences over the passing of Elissa. May perpetual light shine on her and may our great Lord Jesus Christ grant her grace.
My aunt was one of the first adults that I had a close relationship as a child. It followed a lifetime of both a familial relationship and as a very good friend. Both Tito(her husband) and Licha served not only as roll models but also as people that were very entrenched in my life. To say we loved her as a person is an understatement, but also loved her quirks as well(as we all have). She gave me great advice throughout her life. Most relevant was when I was living San Antonio to move to Fort Worth, she told me to use my middle name in Fort Worth for a new beginning. I did that to this day. Since I and my family are people of faith, we know she can see us…we cannot see her. Thank you, Licha, for your help in my life and my families life. We will miss you tremendously.
Love, (Hector) Carlos Collazo and family.
Watching the service from California, thank you for doing a beautiful service. Beautiful tribute to our beloved Tia Tita. Sending love to all of the family.
My Tia tita was the most kind loving person there was she reminded me so much of my grandmother Belia Ruiz “lita”. When I was much younger I remember her & grandmother always together especially when we went to visit her in SA. We would go grocery shopping go eat & relax a bit before leaving back to Laredo. I have Many memories that I’ll cherish forever in my heart forever. We love you Tia Tita so much this year wasn’t the easiest but we’ve learned so much. Now your resting with the lord & Tito & grandma & my Tio Robert etc. We love you Tia Tita heaven has gained another beautiful angel watch over us in these difficult times. God bless love you.
