Enrique Ibarra passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at the age of 26 in Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Carlos Ibarra.
Enrique is survived by his loving spouse, Jessica Ibarra and daughter, Eliana Ibarra; parents, Geronimo and Angeles Ibarra, siblings, Geronimo (Paola) Ibarra, Ana Karen Ibarra, and Carlos Ibarra. He is also survived by his nieces, nephew, other relatives, and friends.

Kike, I met you when Carlos called and asked if I could assist you with a breathalyzer test. He told me you were on your way to the station with a DWI and needed an intoxilyzer operator. There was no hesitation on my part because I knew and had been working with Carlos. We spoke on the phone and I could tell you were a down to earth great person. I saw you again at county jail. I didn’t get the chance to enjoy adult refreshments with you but know you will keep them ice cold for when we meet again. RIP brother, we have the watch from here.
Enrique was a great guy, a hard charger and you knew he had your back. Awesome to work with, he will be missed. I’m so sorry for his family.

It was a blessing to be able to know you. I can’t thank you enough for always being there for my brother as well as your other brothers in blue without hesitation. It hurt to hear the news and hurts to say it was your end of watch on earth but it’s just the start of a new one… I know you’re going to continue to take care of your brothers as they work the blue line on earth and you do the same up in heaven. My deepest condolences to the Ibarra family. Enrique will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my 2nd grade students. Everywhere I saw him he always made it a point to come and talk to me. I remember a few years ago they gave my 3 girls a tour of a courtroom. Fly high Kike!
