Ms. Esperanza Muñoz affectionately known as “Hope” passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the age of 83 in Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raul and Reynalda Venegas and her son David Vargas.
Ms. Muñoz is survived by her beloved children Cynthia (Allen) Sims, Pete (Joyce) Vargas, Cathy Vargas Standifer, and Phillip (Celina) Muñoz. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Clayton Sims, Carter Sims, Cody Vargas, Little David Vargas, Lauren George, Scott Standifer, Nikki Walker, Andy Hazen, Britney Vargas, Haley Dumont, Phillip Raul Muñoz Jr., MaCayla Rey Muñoz, Patrick James Muñoz, daughter-in-law Becky Vargas, numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation
4402 E Saunders St
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to San Martin De Porres Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
