George Ernesto Benavides, 60, joined our Lord in his Heavenly Kingdom on Saturday, October 24, 2020.
A life-long resident of Laredo, George lived at his ranch, Los Lazos, where he loved spending time. He was passionate about ranching and caring for his animals. A testament to his love of caring for the land, George was an entrepreneur who owned his own business, Green Acres Landscaping.
George was deeply loved by his family and friends who know that he was their angel on Earth. He will be profoundly missed.
George is preceded in death by his parents Eduardo and Gloria Benavides, and his brother, Edward Benavides.
Left to cherish his memory are his closest and dearest friend, Liling Huang, his siblings, Ricardo (Sylvia) Benavides, Chacha Benavides, Alberto Benavides, Anthony D. Benavides, and Patty Benavides Cantu (David Abrego). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including, Lindsay (John) Chunn, Richard Michael Benavides, Anthony Dominic Benavides, Jr., Brady Alexander Benavides, Victoria Elizabeth Benavides, and Rochelle Benavides.
The family would like to thank Altus Hospice Care, especially Rosa, Cynthia, Monica, and Blanca, for their compassionate care and service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Laredo Animal Protective Society (LAPS), 2500 Gonzalez St, Laredo, TX 78040, or to any charity of your choosing.
