Mr. Manuel Guadalupe Mata passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the age of 78 in Laredo, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Francisca Mata, daughters Leticia Mata Garza, Magdalena Mata, Eliza Mata, and his son Daniel Mata.
Mr. Mata is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Elena Mata, children Manuel (Adriana) Mata Jr., Eduardo (Melissa) Mata, Ricardo Mata, Alicia (Victor) Martinez, Armando (Ana) Mata, Melissa (Jesús) Hernandez III, Marissa (Jesús) Hernandez, and Orlando Mata. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 1, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 9:30 a.m.
Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
