Homero also enjoyed doing Part-Time work with Advertising Companies when time permitted. He had a love for serving others and it was evident in the work ethic he always maintained throughout his life.Homero or “Lolo” as he was affectionately called by his loved ones was such a good human being to all. He was kind-hearted, patient, intelligent, and so caring. Lolo loved a good barbecue, deer hunting, and camping with family at state parks. Of utmost certainty, Lolo loved our Lord Jesus and his Patron Saint, St. Jude. He was a man “after God’s own heart” and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Christ The King Catholic Church along with his beloved wife of 64 years, Alma Diana. Lolo leaves a legacy of strong faith, hope, and love displayed through him as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. The family will miss him dearly but are comforted their “Lolo and Nana” are now together, again.Left to cherish Lolo’s memory are his loving children, Liana Cynthia Aguero (Jesse), Homero Paez Jr. (Mely), Melissa Yvonne Sanchez (Jose), Rene Javier Paez (Monica), and Mario Gerardo Paez (Debbie); beautiful grandchildren, Cynthia Selina Cortinas (Juan), Erika Christina Olivares (Ricardo), Jessica Yvonne Gaona (Adrian), Karina Teresa Paez, Homero Paez III, Lazaro Jesus Paez, Jose Gerardo Sanchez II (Diana), Olivia Alejandra Sanchez, Rene Javier Paez Jr., Nicholas Daniel Paez, Joel Alejandro Paez, Victoria Lee Paez, Mario Gerardo Paez II, Alexa Danielle Paez, and Sofia Valentina Paez; as well as seven great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Xiomara Cortinas, Ricardo, Milania and Cristian Olivares, Ximena and Ariana Gaona; and numerous loving relatives and friends.Homero prayed to St. Jude often for speedy assistance in difficult times. On his last day here on Earth, Homero knew all would be “OK,” for his children assured him as he took his last breaths surrounded by them. The family believes St. Jude was his intercessor to Jesus, our Lord & Savior, in bringing him home to the Glory of God’s Kingdom. Jesus, We Trust In You.The Paez Family is eternally grateful to Dr. Luis M. Benavides, M.D., and to Nurses On Wheels Of Laredo Home Care for their constant caring attention.
