Humberto Leopoldo Acevedo Jr. (known to many as Ace) of Fort Worth, TX, age 73, passed away Tuesday, November 15th after suffering a heart attack. He was born on March 12, 1949, the son of the late Humberto and Otila (Pierce) Acevedo.Humberto is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters Laura (Jonathan) of Atlanta, GA., and Adriana (Justin) of Wimberly, TX., sons Humberto (Erica) and Christopher (Tiffany) of McAllen, TX.; grandchildren Bella and Lexi Hunt; Avery, Addison, and Alyssa Tedrick; Aidan and Aubrey Acevedo; and CJ and Diego Acevedo; sister Patricia (Peter) and nephew Peter Jr.Everyone who knew Beto felt his big heart and giving nature. His smile was infectious and reached across the miles. As soon as he met you, you were a friend, and he had your six. He will be especially missed by his four children whom he enjoyed so many activities with such as fishing, hunting, watching football, grilling, and just catching up on the phone. Beto had nine grandchildren whom he spent countless hours swing- and stroller-pushing, playing games, eating ice cream, playing lifeguard as well as being their biggest supporter. He will forever be their hero and guardian angel. He was a fan of football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. His idea of a great time was having his whole family together by the grill, with a cold beer and country music in the background. He showed tremendous pride and respect for his country, his time in the Navy, and his 29 years as a US Customs and Border Protection Officer. Saying he will be missed is an understatement. He will forever live on within our hearts and our memories.
