  5. Rest in peace Uncle George you were a father figure for me and all my brothers and sisters. I will always cherish our road trip from Illinois to Laredo when I was just a young girl you made me a little bed in the back seat of your car and away we drove, laughing and enjoying the stories of your boxing days you had my total attention. My heart is broken, what I would give to have another road trip with you again. May God open his kingdom to you.

  6. Maria Elena Sandoval-Schleifer

My deepest condolences to the family; Carmen, Jorge Jr, Sandra and many others.

I remember the random visits Uncle George made to see us in Illinois when we were young. He’d show up with Chester or Rofo. I remember the time you guys went hunting then demonstrated your chef skills by cooking “rabbit” stew. We kept our distance from the stove but we were totally entertained and we laughed the whole time!

    May you Rest In Peace,

    M. Elena Sandoval-Schleifer and family

  7. My condolences to the Sandoval family. I remember Jorge when he used to work at La Colonia Housing Authority. I never forget when he, Chester, Rami, and Julian would pick me up to go play softball on Sundays in the “super souped” up car Chester had with the tiny chrome steering wheel when we played for Chito’s drive-in. We had lots of laughs cause we are all very good friends from the same neighborhood. May Coque Rest In Peace.
