Mr. Jose Luis Castañeda passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family by his side on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the age of 75 in Laredo, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tristan Castañeda and Elida Pina De Castañeda, brothers Tristan Castañeda, and Faustino “Tino” Castañeda.
Mr. Castañeda is survived by his beloved wife Rosalinda Castañeda, children Cynthia Castaneda (Daniel Hernandez), Cecilia Castañeda (Kerry Bonugli), Carlos (Laura) Castañeda, Claudia Castañeda (Rosendo Rodriguez), Luis Castañeda, and Eduardo (Valeria) Castañeda. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters Elida Quesada (Daniel Shin), Elsa (ϯ Reynaldo) Garcia, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation
4402 E Saunders St
Visitation will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
