A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
A chapel service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041.
Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo City Cemetery.

Mr. Jose Luis Serna passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the age of 80 in Edinburg, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maria del Carmen Cabrera, mother Maria Luisa Serna, father Refugio Pena, and his sisters Maria del Carmen Alba; Ludivina Berlanga.
Mr. Serna is survived by his children Maria Eugenia (Jay) Martin, grandchildren Gabriel Y. Martin and Mia I. Martin, and his sister Rosario Ugalde. He is also survived by his cousins Veronica De La Garza; Johnny (Claudia) Costales; Claudia Costales; Karla Veronica Velarde; Karen V. (Nasario) Aguilar; Guillermo Raul (Gwendolyn) Ugalde II; Veronica Ugalde; Annette Ugalde and other relatives.
