Service Details

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a holy Mass at 9 a.m.

Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Obituary

Juan Manuel Cantu born June 24, 1951, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on Friday, April 17, 2020 at the age of 68 in Laredo, TX. Mr. Cantu will be dearly missed by his grandchildren. He always knew how to make them laugh and smile with his crude jokes and contagious laugh. He taught them so many things about animals, plants, and life and how to appreciate things in this world. Everything he did was done with passion so strong and bright it could outshine the sun. Mr. Cantu was a strong man of faith after losing his three sons and his first granddaughter he always had kindhearted words and actions. His family will love and miss him until they meet again.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Catarino and Demetria Cantu, sons Juan Manuel Jr., Adan and Antonio Cantu and his granddaughter Angela G. Cantu.

Mr. Cantu is survived by his spouse Flor Cantu, children Ana Laura Cantu, Isaac C. Cantu (Susan Castillo) and Juanita Cantu, grandchildren Michael Anthony, Christopher, Alexandra, Isaac and Emily Cantu and Susan and Roberto Torres. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Juan (Dolores) Cantu, Enrique (Gloria) Cantu, Jesus Cantu, Petra Martinez, Viviana Almanza, Isaac (Sandy) Cantu, Catarino (Ivy) Cantu, Guadalupe (Edward) Sharon and Ramon Cantu and numerous other relatives.
