Obituary
Mr. Juan Carlos Paz Rivera passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his side on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the age of 61 in Laredo, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father Carlos Paz Villarreal, brother Francisco Paz, and his sister Sarita Paz.
Mr. Paz is survived by his beloved wife Marisa G. Paz, son Juan Carlos (Jenny) Paz, daughter Kayla Alexa Paz, granddaughter Kehlani Paz Sanchez, and his mother Estanislada Rivera. He is also survived by his siblings Blasa (Robert) Tijerina, Maria (Rogelio) Huerta, Jorge Manuel Romero, Rosalva Romero, Antonio (Claudia) Romero Rivera, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
