Mr. Manuel Mercado passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his side on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 96 in Laredo, Texas.
He is survived by his children Leticia Mercado, Maria de Jesús Mercado, Dora M. Garcia De Maldonado, Patricia Mercado, Manuel Mercado, and Victoria Mercado. He is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
