Obituary

María Antonieta “La Bebe” Montemayor, 85, peacefully joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Friday, April 23, 2021.

Bebe loved to travel and spend time with family and friends reminiscing about life’s great adventures. Her memory and quick wit was like no other and she could tell you a story from oh so many years ago on the drop of a dime. She was a great listener and remembered every detail and important milestone in her loved ones lives. As an honest, caring, and sincere person, she was a woman of strong convictions and faith – willing to give the shirt off her back to the family or a friend in need. She will be greatly missed, but will forever live on in our hearts and through her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Maria Montemayor, sisters, Idalia, Graciella and Lydia, and brothers, Ignacio, and Jose Montemayor.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Chano Aldrete; granddaughter, Andrea Aldrete (Lety Longoria) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, cherished friends and loved ones.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to her faithful palomita, Letty Ibarra, for all her love and outstanding care throughout her 10 years of service with the family.

Ms. Alderete may you rest in peace. Condolences to your family. Last time I saw you was at LMC Chapel with your son. I went up to you and said hi. You were one of my regular customers at HEB.
