A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Ms. Maria De Jesus Veliz passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the age of 93 in Laredo, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Domingo Veliz, and her son Homero Veliz.
Ms. Veliz is survived by her loving children Olga Rosa Torres, Maria Teresa (Ramiro) Zermeño, and Claudia (Gerardo) Quiroga. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
