Ms. Martha L. Lopez passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, surrounded by her family at her side at the age of 41 in Laredo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her mother Josefa Martha Lopez, and her husband Mario Alberto Benavides. 

Ms. Lopez is survived by her children Ashley Granada (Orlando Gomez), Mario Alberto Benavides, and Mariely Lisset Benavides, father Leonel Lopez, and her grandchildren Avery Granada, and Alexander Leonel Gomez.  She is also survived by her brothers Leonel M. (Alejandra) Lopez, Luis M. (Sonia) Lopez, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 8, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Deacon Jerry Morales.

A chapel service will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041.

Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo City Cemetery.
