Michael Anthony Ochoa passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 in Laredo, Texas at the age of 22. Michael Anthony recently started his career with the United States Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection. He was a martial artist with a second degree blackbelt in Tae-Kwon-Do, Lakan Guro in Philippino martial arts and assistant kickboxing instructor in Muay Thai. He was honored to have shared his knowledge and love of the sport through instructing others. Michael also spent endless hours working on and transforming a wide variety of hot rods and sports cars.
Michael is survived by his father Alberto (Anna) Ochoa III, mother Patricia Ochoa Barberena, brothers Christopher Daniel Ochoa, Albert Alexander Ochoa and Ryan Vaquera, maternal grandparents Victor Hugo Jr. and Norma A. Barberena, maternal aunts and uncle Elizabeth Yvonne (Cesar) Merla and son Cesar Merla Jr., Victor Hugo III (Sandy) Barberena and daughters Victoria and Kayla Barberena and Cynthia (Joe) Lopez and children Leah and Luis Lopez. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Alberto and Rina Ochoa, paternal uncles Ricardo Javier (Rebecca) Ochoa and Carlos Alejandro (Brenda) Ochoa and numerous other relatives and many friends.
