Reynaldo Barraza, 88, of Laredo, TX, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Bedford, TX surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 04, 1938, in Laredo, TX, to Eleuterio and Celestina Barraza. Growing up, he traveled with his family as a migrant worker where he developed a strong work ethic and love for the outdoors.

Reynaldo attended Martin High school and later enlisted into the U.S Army. After his time in the military, he returned and started a subcontractor Construction company for over 40 years. He was a dedicated worker who took great pride in his career and providing for his family.

In 1963, he married the love of his life, Maria Guadalupe (Zuniga) Barraza, and together they built a wonderful life and raised 2 children: Eva Lynn and Alicetina Barraza. He was a devoted and loving father who taught his children the value of family and respect. Outside of work and family, Reynaldo loved the ranch life, barbecuing and watching westerns. He was known for his stern but honest personality and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eleuterio and Celestina Barraza, siblings Ramon Barraza, Eleuterio Barraza Jr, Maria Medina, Elvira Villarreal, Victor Barraza Sr., Ruben Barraza and his beloved nephew George I Barraza.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Maria Guadalupe (Zuniga) Barraza, daughters Eva Lynn (Ramon) Sanchez, Alicetina (Jose Luis) Conde Jr and grandchildren Krystell Conde, Gabriela Sanchez, Ana Conde, Miranda Sanchez, Carolina Conde, Ramon Sanchez and Joaquin Conde. Along with his brother Ricardo (Rosario)Barraza, numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.
