Service Details

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Anthony Mendoza.

Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Obituary

Rosa Maria Lopez peacefully entered into eternal glory surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 28, 2023, at the age of 81, in Laredo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Regino Lopez Jr., parents, Jose Inez Perez and Maria de Jesus Davalos Perez, brothers, Raymundo Perez, Roberto Perez, and Ruben Perez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Elizabeth Lopez, Regino Ines (Lucila) Lopez, Arturo (Elizabeth) Lopez, Rosa Maria Lopez-Ferdin, and Patricia Monica (Ricardo Jr.) Aguero; grandchildren, Andrea Lopez, Cristina Lopez, Monica (Sam) Bowers, Regino Lopez IV, Vicky (Matthias) Jung, Yvette Lopez, Clarisabel (Alex) Bert, Arturo (Chloe) Lopez, and Christian Lopez;  Brenda (Miguel) Hernandez, Fabian Ferdin Jr., Andrew T. (Stephanie) Ferdin, Isabella F. (Luis Rangel) Ferdin, Thomas A. Ferdin, Victoria L. Aguero, Ricardo Aguero III, Alexandra M. Aguero, Marcus Jay Aguero; great-grandchildren, Phillip Jung, Zoey Lopez, Santiago Lopez, Alejandro Gael Lopez-Lecea, Isabel Apollina Bowers, Amelia Rose Bowers, Freida Adelina Hernandez, Olivia Amelia Hernandez, Andrew T. Ferdin Jr., and Leonel Rangel; brothers, Ricardo (Graciela) Perez, and Gregorio (Maria Antonia) Perez. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends.

Pall Bearers will be: Regino I. López, Arturo López, Regino López IV, Arturo López, Ricardo Aguero III, Marcus Jay Aguero, Fabian Ferdin, Andrew T. Ferdin, and Thomas A. Ferdin.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be: Christian Lopez, Ricardo Aguero Jr., Miguel Hernandez, Sam Bowers, Luis Rangel, and Alex Bert.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Rosa was so kind to me and made me feel so welcome at Monica’s baby shower. I’ll remember her with fondness and pray that the memories you have of times with her will sustain and comfort you.
