Santiago “Chago” Cordero

Santiago “Chago” Cordero passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in Cotulla, Texas at the age of 39. Santiago “Chago” as he was dearly known graduated from Martin High school. He was an excellent basketball player, a great friend but most of all he was an excellent dad. His children meant the world to him. He loved his family and was always ready to lend a helping hand. We’re still is disbelief that he’s gone. He will truly be missed especially by his kids as they adored him. He was preceded in death by his father Jesus Cordero Cedillo.Santiago is survived by his loving wife Diana Casarez, children Santiago Cordero Jr., and DeeLyla Nevaeh Cordero, and his mother Gregoria “Goya” Fernandez. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Jesus Manuel (Urbana) Cordero, Leticia (Ted) Treviño, Joaquin Cordero, Javier (Brenda) Cordero, Minerva Cordero, Belen Cordero (David Martinez), Ruben (Blanca) Cordero, Nicolas (Savannah) Cordero, Jacobo (Crystal) Cordero, Valentina Cordero (Carlos Pitacua), numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 12 noon.Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo City Cemetery.
